The TT blade described here stems from the Epox series, and is characterized by its balanced behavior with respect to spin, speed, and control. The focus, however, is primarily on speed. The Donic Epox Offensiv is worth a recommendation for those players who prefer all possible variations to attack. The Epox Offensiv exhibits quite high rotation values. This makes this blade suitable for offensive players frequently using much spin. The Offensiv is designed for offensive players who often try to take the initiative, however, without losing the necessary amount of control (especially during more passive stages).
The typical Epox feeling also emerges when using the Donic Epox Offensiv. This is because of the special gluing technique of this table tennis blade, but also because of the thoroughly chosen and finely tuned veneers (including the hardening process).
The epoxy resin used for this blade is a synthetic resin which is hardenable, and which reacts during the hardening. Sometimes, there are also thermosetting additives added resulting in a purposeful change and optimization of material properties. The most common areas of application of such resins are various varnishes, but also adhesives and embedding agents in metallographic applications as well as electrical engineering. With the Donic Epox Offensive, however, the manufacturer does not show whether and if (or what kind of) additives have been added to the adhesive.
It is a fact that the Epox Offensiv from the house of Donic also obtains an extraordinarily good stiffness by means of the gluing process. This has positive effects on power, and dynamics. This TT blade is, hence, highly suitable for the topspin game no matter from what position. Additionally, there is always a pleasant amount of feedback, and control.
