This makes it possible to generate a lot of spin not only in attack but also in serve/return play. However, one should plan a little training in the return area, as the R1 is also somewhat more susceptible to the spin of opponent's serves due to its high grip. With a 55° hard sponge that plays softer than one might initially think, the Donic BlueGrip C2 is harder than the R1/V1 variants, but still a good deal more controlled and softer than the C1. This means that while the C2 undoubtedly offers exceptionally high offensive potential, it is still somewhat easier to control in passive play than the C1. For ambitious, powerful attacking play with a lot of dynamics and high variability, the BlueGrip C2 is therefore perfect.

As already indicated, the Donic BlueGrip C1 is even faster and harder tuned than the C2. A 60° (!) hard and approximately 90 grams heavy sponge provides enormous speed reserves and breathtaking acceleration. In combination with the special BlueGrip surface, you can attack highly efficiently. Because not only the brute speed but also the immense rotation of your attacking shots. Although the rubber is extremely hard on paper, it plays much more dynamically than one might think, thanks to the integrated, quite strong catapult effect. The extremely offensive tuning makes it easier to play powerful topspins, making it ideal for aggressive play from any position. It is obvious that with this incredible speed, some compromises in ball control must be made.

BlueGrip S2 - the new fusion

A trend that is increasingly observed in the market is rubbers that combine the properties of tensors and Chinese rubbers. One of the newest rubbers of this kind is the Donic BlueGrip S2.
