Sponeta S6-80e - Stationary outdoor able tennis table made in Germany
The German company Sponeta produces high-quality table tennis tables in a small city called Schlotheim (Thuringia, Germany). Nowadays, outdoor tables are very popular. No matter if at home, at school, or at your company - active break designs are very important. Among outdoor tables, so-called stationary outdoor tables are left outside throughout the entire year. Once placed, you just leave the table where it stands.
The Sponeta S6-80e is such a stationary outdoor table tennis table, which is of course weatherproof and meets the European standard norm EN-14468-1 (However, not ITTF-approved and hence only for hobby and leisure purposes!). This high-quality table is not only suitable for your own yard (provided of course there is sufficient room), but also for schools, companies, clubs, and many other public facilities. Sponeta offers a 2-year-warranty.
Sponeta S6-80e - The surface board
The surface board of the Sponeta S6-80e is also made of melamine resin (thickness 10 mm). Melamine resins (melamine-formaldehyde condensation resins) are synthetic resins made of melamine and formaldehyde, which is bonded together (so-called duroplastic plastics). Their properties perfectly meet the criteria for outdoor tables: They are weather and light resistant, exhibit great mechanical strength, and are thermically stable (e.g. well over 100 °C). Mechanical impacts are critical, there is only a limited resistance. The same is true for acids or alkalis.
The surface color is grey / anthracite, which we find optically very appealing. It is simply something different compared to the classical blue or green surfaces. The sub-structure, the frame profile, is stable (50 x 20 mm), powder-coated and galvanized (black, RAL code: 9005). There are also additional cross-sectional connectors underneath the surface board which mediate further stability.
Sponeta S 6-80 e - the base frame under closer examination
The base frame or undercarriage (Standard type 1) of the S 6-80e is also powder-coated and galvanized, however, with a different color (chrome look-grey). As this is a stationary ping pong table, there is no folding mechanism and there are no wheels. The entire table can be safely mounted on the standing surface: The supporting legs of the table can be anchored through eyelets in the feet.

The packaging is a Type B double carton for the standing transport. There are two cartons usually tied together by 2 PE straps. However, it occasionally occurs that the two cartons are sent separately.
The double carton (two single cartons tied together) is quite stable and measures H = 162 x L = 144 x W = 20-22 cm (depending on the concrete model). At the bottom of the carton there are two transport feet (height approx. 2.5 cm) at the right and left side. Packaging and table weigh approx. 134 kg (gross), just the table weighs about 123 kg (net). It is recommended to mount this ping pong table in pairs, the duration is approx. 2-3 h. Check out the Sponeta assembly videos on Youtube, we can highly recommend these!
