Donic BlueStar A3 - The most balanced rubber in this series!
Within the BlueStar series, the
Donic BlueStar A3 is a model that we would like to introduce to you in more detail here. Have fun reading!
This rubber was primarily developed because the other rubbers in this series are too hard and fast for some players (and therefore less controllable). The A3 is
softer overall and therefore easier to control, as the ball contact time is longer and therefore the
feedback is also increased.
The sponge of the BlueStar A3
As already mentioned, at
47.5° it is softer than the A1 (a whopping 52.5°) and A2 (50°) rubbers. The
tensor sponge of the BlueStar A3 has fine pores and is equipped with
OPTE technology (Optimised Energy Sponge). As a result, the sponge provides more control and feedback overall, but is still catapult-friendly, dynamic, direct and fast.
The surface of the Donic BlueStar A3
The surface of a table tennis rubber is in direct contact with the ball and is therefore an important element. As already described, it is
slightly sticky, very grippy, and elastic. This means that the longitudinal movement of the racket is transferred very well to the ball (due to high static friction values), so that the ball is set in
rotation very well (high spin ability!). The BlueStar A3 also sets the highest standards in terms of workmanship, development and production.
A brief summary on this Donic rubber
The
BlueStar A3 provides the modern table tennis player with a high-quality premium rubber which - compared to the A2 and A1 models - allows for
more control and feedback. Nevertheless, the A3 is a dynamic rubber that is
fast, direct and spin-friendly. Its suitability can therefore be described as suitable for offensive all-rounders (All+) and controlled attacking players (OFF-).
The Donic BlueStar series - quality at the highest level
Donic is an established name in the table tennis sector. The
BlueStar series is another premium product in the table tennis rubber range, which is described as a modern tensor hybrid rubber. As already mentioned with the A3, these rubbers have a high performance potential and consist of a
dynamic tensor sponge combined with a slightly sticky surface. The result is an
enormous spin potential combined with good speed and directness.
An overview of the rubbers in this series can be found here:
- Donic BlueStar A1: THE attacking rubber from Donic. Very hard & brutal.
- Donic BlueStar A2: Softer than the A1, but still hard. Very catchy!
- Donic BlueStar A3: The golden mean within this series, very balanced.
