Tibhar Allround Premium Carbon - What you should know about it
The table tennis equipment within the
Allround segment appeals to most table tennis players. For amateur athletes, the focus lies on control when it comes to playing characteristics. Interestingly, there are a lot of new releases of equipment that address offensive players, but are unfortunately
unsuitable for allround players. And whenever allrounders seek to add
more offensive potential to their game, they have to turn to very expensive and mostly too fast carbon blades or fast, heavy all-wood blades, which, however, are not suited for their own game. With the
Tibhar Allround Premium Carbon exactly this void was closed.
In addition, not every allround player wants to play with a all-wooden blade. This can have several reasons. One could be that some dislike the
strong vibrations of a thin blade. In addition, allrounders tend to prefer
softer rubbers due to their better control. But in combination with an allround blade, this can lead to a
strong catapult effect and also simply produces a too soft feeling. Even ambitious players who love the touch and control of a slower blade, but at the same time want to play with faster rubbers,
do not always find the perfect combination.
Based on the
Allround Premium, various veneer compositions were bonded and tested together with a
very thin carbon layer. By
slightly adjusting the veneers, it was possible to maintain the outstanding allround performance. But at the same time we could integrate the
advantages of a carbon blade. The Allround Premium Carbon offers the touch and control of an allround all-wooden blade, but is
more stable and possesses less vibrations due to the inner-layer carbon. It performs extremely well in the passive play, but offers
more speed and acceleration potential in the attacking play than classic allround blades.
In combination with soft tensor rubbers,
more power can be built up
without any loss of control. The soft rubbers appear
much more dangerous and dynamic. There are fewer vibrations present. The Tibhar Allround Premium Carbon therefore offers
great advantages for the modern allround game.
Playing characteristics of the Tibhar Allround Premium Carbon
A
very compact feeling is apparent on
counter strokes. The TAPC allows allows the ball to be directed
very precisely. The
moderate basic tempo, the
soft touch of the outer veneer and the
stability of the carbon layer offer
extreme reliability. Particularly
passive blocks can be played very low and at the same time very safely to the opponent's side of the table. But also
active blocks and controlled strokes are easily playable.
The Allround Premium Carbon is very variable during
topspin play.
Safe spin strokes possess
good rotation and decent speed. The
direct touch during fast stroke execution, however, also allows firmer attacking strokes. By a fast arm movement
pressure on the opponent can be built up. Both
beginners, as well as experienced allrounders, can utilize the potential of the blade depending on their own playing strength. Due to the
high level of control,
long rallies can be successfully performed.
For demanding strokes such as
counter topspins or play from half distance, the Tibhar Allround Premium Carbon has
enough speed reserves to become dangerous to the opponent. Especially the
direct, compact feeling makes hard-hitting shots possible.
There is a lot of stability on
serves. Serves can be placed
simply and easily. With
returns the blade compensates for many errors. Nevertheless, it is possible to operate more accurately than with a standard all-wood blade. There is
no disturbing self-catapult present.
For which types of players is the Tibhar Allround Premium Carbon recommended?
The
TAPC appeals to all players who are looking for a
controlled, compact carbon blade. Especially those who consider
all-wood blades as being too soft and catapult-like, but
can't handle a fast carbon blade, will find the right table tennis blade with the
Allround Premium Carbon. The combination of ball security, moderate speed and directness is hard to find on the table tennis market. The
smoothness with which the blade can be played and the
quick adaptation to the outstanding playing characteristics speak for themselves.
With which rubbers should the Allround Premium Carbon be combined?
We recommend the blade in
combination with soft, medium soft or medium tensor rubbers, which have a decent catapult effect. The best example is the
table tennis racket Aurus Carbon offered by us. Together with the spinny and controlled Tibhar Aurus Soft rubbers, a
modern allround game or moderate spin game can be put on. With this or a similar racket, the blade is
at its best.
Classic rubbers can also be used with the Allround Premium Carbon without any problems. The blade provides
enough speed reserves to not let the overall racket become too slow.
Advanced beginners or allrounders who want more stability in their game will like this blade-rubber combination.
Even
harder tensors, especially the
spin-heavy rubbers, offer a good interaction with the allround carbon blade. While the rubbers bring the right mix of spin and speed, the blade supports the safe spin game with its stability and control. On the other hand, those who like it faster and focus on aggressive offensive play will do better with a faster blade.
