The history of the company Victas reaches far back into the past, and commences as early as 1931. Back then, the name of the company was Yamato Takkyu AG. In 2017, a new name was found: The VICTAS AG. Also in terms of rubbers, Victas constantly developed. One of the latest products among ping pong rubbers from the Victas VJ > 07 series is a hybrid, the Victas VJC > 07 Sticky Extra. The hybrid-like character explains the letters "VJC", which means Victas Japan China, combining typical Japanese as well as Chinese properties. In detail, these constitute a hard Japanese sponge (47.5°), and a highly catchy Chinese topsheet (hybrid rubber).

The Victas VJC 07 Sticky Extra exhibits a very positive and pleasant overall feeling: The hardness of the sponge causes a very good directness of the balls, which significantly increases the speed. This effect particularly becomes evident when doing hard shots and rallies. The catapult effect is only slightly affected due to the hard sponge (the ball is still able to penetrate into the material). This can further be compensated by choosing thicker sponges.

The highly catchy topsheet is the main reason as to why the ball literally sticks to the rubber when hitting. It is not slipping off. Hence, you can transfer an extreme amount of rotation toward the ball! This is an ideal prerequisite for table tennis players who prefer rotational topspins. • Victas VJ > 07 Regular: Relatively soft (42.5°) in terms of hardness, and equipped with a slight tension-effect and a moderate catapult-effect. Good precision, feedback, and control. A balanced allround (All) rubber, which also allows more offensive actions.
