Sponeta S4-70e - Outdoor ping pong fun for everybody!
The Thuringian company Sponeta is located in a small city called Schlotheim (Germany). Sponeta has much experience when it comes to table tennis tables. For the pleasant season, the company also offers so-called outdoor tables: these incorporate materials resistant to sun, rain, or even snow. One of these products is the Sponeta S4-70e, which meets the requirements associated with DIN EN 14468-1. Furthermore, this table is designed for hobby purposes and there is a 2-year-warranty.Within the S4-line, there are two more models: the S4-72e (green surface) and the S4-73e (blue surface).
Sponeta S4-70e - the Surface Board
The surface board is made of melamine resin, with an associated thickness of 5 mm. These resins (melamine-formaldehyde condensation resins) are synthetic ones made of melamine and formaldehyde bonded together (they are so-called duroplastic plastics). Their properties perfectly meet outdoor requirements: high mechanical strength, thermically stable (e.g. well over 100 °C), and weather as well as light resistant. However, mechanical impacts are critical as there is a limited resistance only. So please make sure to prevent hail events, for example. The material exhibits also a very limited resistance to acids or alkalis.The surface is grey / anthracite and the melamine resin board is firmly glued onto the substructure. The frame profile is very stable (L-50 mm) and powder-coated (black-grey matt, RAL code: 9707).
Sponeta S 4-70 e - the base frame
The so-called base frame ("Compact Type 4b") of the Sponeta S 4-70e is of course also powder-coated with the same color (black-grey matt, RAL code 9707). Similar to the technically identical S4 outdoor versions, the dimensions are 30x30 mm (squared tubes) providing good stability. Transportation of the table is conducted via 4 swiveling double wheels (diameter 128 mm, with rubber running surfaces). The base frame also includes holders at either side for your rackets and balls - very convenient! Due to height-adjustable support legs, you can compensate unevennesses of up to 30 mm.The SMS mechanism (Smart Manual System) locks and secures the S4-70e. For this, there are visible handles. A drawbar just underneath the surface board unlocks both safety devices simultaneously. The automatic locking mechanism secures the table tennis surface board in the storage or playing position.
Sponeta S 4-70 e - other numbers and facts about the table
The delivery takes place directly from the manufacturer to your place. Please provide a valid telephone number for the shipping company when ordering with us. The shipping is via a two-man service, the notification is usually by phone. The carton/box marking includes the product description, article number, and GTIN code. The delivery time depends on where you are located. As already mentioned, you will receive an email from us with an expected delivery date.The scope of delivery includes: Assembly instructions with language booklet and the net set "Perfekt II". Balls or rackets are not part of the delivery, however, you can of course order this from us. The net set "Perfekt II" is stationary and includes a net holding profile with fixing plates and net posts outside and inside (all powder-coated) in order to adjust the height via a height adjustment screw. The net is black, with a loop (diameter: 8 mm). The tensioning cord with hooks stretches the upper edge of the net. The net dimensions are: Length= approx. 180 cm x Height=15.2 cm. For this table tennis table there are plastic pipings (6 mm diameter) according to the net height.
In the playing position, the Sponeta S 4-70 e measures Length=274 cm x Width=152.5 cm x Height=76 cm (corresponds to the international tournament dimensions). In the storage or parking position, the dimensions are: L=152.5 cm (with net: 184 cm) x W=72 cm x H=155 cm.
The packaging is a Type A single carton for the standing transport. The carton is quite stable and measures H = 162 x L = 144 x W = 9 - 15.5 cm (depending on the concrete model). At the bottom of the carton there is a transport foot (height approx. 2.5 cm) at the right and left side. Packaging and table weigh approx. 65 kg (gross weight), just the table weighs about 59.5 kg (net weight). It is recommended to mount this ping pong table in pairs.
