With the Omega IV Asia, the Korean top company Xiom introduced a rubber to the market which will mainly appeal to motivated, aggressive attackers. This is because this TT rubber is not easy to control (due to its high hardness).
The reason for this is primarily the very hard (48°) Carbo sponge. Its coloration is typical for this series: Black. The results are a very hard and direct touch of the ball, leading to a fast and flat bounce of the ball toward the other half of the table. In combination with the catchy topsheet, the Xiom Omega IV Asia enables topspins which are not only very spinny, but also extremely fast. Note, however, that much training is required in order to be able to control this weapon (due to the immense hardness, the Omega IV Asia has a poor control). Please be aware of that. In addition to maximally accelerate topspins, offensive players usually conduct fast and powerful arm movements.

- Xiom Omega IV Euro: Good control. This rubber also forgives mistakes to a larger extend compared to the Pro and Asia. Softer sponge (hardness: 44°)
- Xiom Omega IV Elite: This TT rubber is the softest version within this series (sponge hardness: 40°). It is very spinny, and has a good control!
