Victas Ventus Regular Alpha - The successful further development!
As already mentioned, the Victas Ventus Regular Alpha is the further development of the Regular, which was already very popular. Specifically, this involves improvements to the upper rubber (available in pink, blue, black and red) in order to increase the ease of rotation. The sponge is elastic and features the “Optimized Rotation Concept”. This benefits the control of the rubber immensely. The very good price-performance ratio should also be emphasized. Let's take a closer look at a few aspects below.With its excellent suitability as an all-round rubber, it scores highly in terms of control, safety, and feedback. The rubber is therefore also suitable if you already have some table tennis experience and want to learn and consolidate further techniques. However, due to the grippy topsheet and the elastic sponge, slightly offensive strokes are also clearly possible here, which in summary corresponds to suitability in the allround and allround plus (ALL, ALL+) areas.
It is particularly good for backhand openings, for example: safe and, if necessary, powerful, with a not too high trajectory. This Victas rubber also cuts a very good figure on serves, returns, blocks, and counter topspins. If you are already using the Regular and want to go one step further, the Ventus Regular Alpha is certainly a good choice.
However, you should be aware that this rubber also has its limits. In terms of speed, directness, and simply general power, you will notice this quite quickly. If you want to play the balls faster, you have to put a lot of energy into it. The catapult effect is not (particularly) pronounced. This is especially true for the half-distance. Interested parties should opt for more dynamic and harder variations here.
