Donic BlueGrip C2 - A great tool for attackers preferring lots of spin!
The spin potential of Chinese rubbers equipped with a sticky surface is known worldwide. However, not everyone likes the hard, undynamic playing behavior of such Chinese rubbers. Fortunately, now there is a solution to this problem - the Blue Grip C1 & Blue Grip C2 from Donic. The
Donic Blue Grip C2 is, as the name already suggests, the minimally slower and softer option from these models.
Due to the
topsheet with its sticky surface, the Blue Grip C2 can definitely keep up with the Chinese rubbers in terms of grip. The big difference, however, is the special sponge. With
55°, the sponge is also relatively hard, but it behaves much softer and more sensitive than Chinese rubbers with such a sponge hardness. In addition, a
strong catapult effect, typically European, is integrated into the sponge from the factory, which gives the Blue Grip C2 an effective momentum.
Besides the 5° softer and around 10 grams lighter sponge, the C2 also differs from the high-speed C1 model through slight
changes to the pimple geometry. This optimization supports the more sensitive playing behavior of the rubber and offers you a higher variability in the offensive with a better control during the return game. Nevertheless, the Donic Blue Grip C2 is logically
a pure attacking rubber with a high ground speed, which requires a certain level of playing skills to be able to fully control this rubber.
Overview of the Donic Blue Grip rubbers
The Donic Blue Grip C2 is one of the two new versions within the series. The two C variants are said to offer even more power. Compared to the other Blue Grip rubbers, they can be classified as follows:
