Andro Rasanter V47 - A very offensive Andro Rasanter rubber
Similar to the Andro Rasanter V42, also the Andro Rasanter V47 exhibits a so called velocity topsheet, which behaves in a very direct way. Since this topsheet is very thin, there is more space for the sponge. Hence, the available sponge thicknesses of the latter Andro rubber are 2.3 mm and ultra-max. This allows a considerable increase in terms of speed and spin, which may indeed counteract the physical disadvantages of the new plastic balls (less spin and a slower overall behavior). Note that in addition to this, the Andro Rasanter V47 has a significantly harder sponge (47°, medium-hard).
Speaking of which, the sponge of this Andro rubber is green colored and really eye-catching. Due to the increased hardness (and thickness), the sponge constitutes the ideal basis for a very fast game with great dynamics. The already mentioned V-topsheet is very thin, very tacky, and fast (high velocity topsheet)! In addition to this, the inverted pimples (or pips) exhibit thin necks. Both components cause a flat and very direct trajectory of the ball.
For these reasons, the Andro Rasanter V-47 is best suitable for attackers who prefer the game close to the table, serving balls with much pressure. But also the game from the mid distance works great with this rubber. Scoring via short and fast topspins is a particular strength of this rubber from Andro. In term of topspins, also counter topspin duels go off the hand quite easily, with a special emphasis on a steep bounce of the ball.
Due to the highly offensive characteristics of the Andro Rasanter V-47 (namely the high speed and hardness), it is obvious that during the passive game, there is only a limited control and a limited ability to "forgive" errors.
