andro rasanter r42 - power meets control
The
Andro Rasanter R42 is the perfect version of the new Andro rubbers when it comes to a
variable, offensive game. The hardness of the sponge (42°) is classified as medium-soft. As the name already suggests, this is neither too hard, nor too soft. Hence, this Andro rubber exhibits not only a
good control and feeling, but also
sufficient speed reserves in order to develop
much power with every stroke you do.
In case the
Andro Rasanter R42 (with a sponge thickness of 2.0 mm) is still a bit too slow for you, you can select the
ultra-max version. This version has an extra thick sponge (2.3 mm), which acts like a
catapult, increasing the acceleration and speed of the balls.
The
R-topsheet (R stands for rotation) is responsible for the huge development of spin. Also, the
pimples are more compact and less elastic compared to the Andro Rasanter V rubbers (V = velocity topsheet). This facilitates the take-away of the ball. All these features make it easier to develop
more spin whilst the same level of physical effort is maintained.
Due to the above-mentioned reasons, the
Andro Rasanter R42 exhibits a
balanced mix based on speed, spin, and control. However, this rubber has always sufficient reserves to develop enough
power for offensive moves. Furthermore, this Andro rubber is designed for the new plastic ping pong ball (also known as 40+ ball) as is compensates its slower and less spinny behavior (compared to the "old" celluloid balls).
andro rasanter r42 - Summary
Based on the facts from above, the
Andro Rasanter R42 should be used for v
ariable and offensive players (OFF-) who are capable of safe but offensive strokes no matter what the situation. In case you are searching for a rubber that supports your gaming style and compensates the disadvantages of the new plastic ball, you can most certainly not get past the
Andro Rasanter R42.
Andro has introduced four different rubbers within the Andro Rasanter R series (R topsheet). The following overview guides you through these, and provides links to the detailed product descriptions:
- Andro Rasanter R37: The softest sponge (37°). For allround plus / offensive minus players (ALL+/OFF-) who use different spin versions. Good control and feeling.
- Andro Rasanter R42: This rubber is still good to control and has a good safety although it is a bit harder than the former (sponge hardness: 42°). Hence, increased speed, acceleration, and power. Style: OFF-.
- Andro Rasanter R47: A rubber for the offensive gaming style (OFF). Medium-hard sponge (47°) for more speed, acceleration, power, and pressure!
- Andro Rasanter R50: A real weapon! Designed for powerful attacks close to the table and short stroke movements. The hardest sponge within this series (50°). Style: OFF+!
In case you prefer a rubber with a more elastic topsheet, you might check out both Andro Rasanter V rubbers (V stands for the V topsheet and means velocity).
