Joola is a highly traditional German company, founded by Karl Frey. In 1954, Joola established a dedicated department for table tennis table production under the former Jooss company. The name Joola originated from combining the company name Jooss and the location Landau. After relocating to Godramstein, the company moved again in 1973 to its current headquarters in Siebeldingen, due to rapid growth. In 2019, Joola was acquired by the American company Sport Squad, Inc., with whom it had collaborated extensively before. This partnership played a significant role in shaping Joola's success.
The Joola brand boasts a remarkable history of excellence and product innovation, serving as a driving force for table tennis enthusiasts worldwide. With a strong focus on the next generation of players and equipment, Joola continues to pave the way for the future of the sport while fostering a deep passion for table tennis. From its founding by Karl Frey (up to 1979), followed by Michael Bachtler, to its acquisition by Sport Squad in 2018, Joola has consistently adapted to new challenges.
