Dimitry Ovtcharov himself decided to use this table tennis blade for his competitions. The name "Donic Ovtcharov True Carbon" was given just for this reason. In terms of its properties we can say that this blade perfectly combines speed, the feeling for the game, and high standards. The developmental background of the True Carbon lies in the needs of Dima himself. Since the switch to plastic balls, Dima was searching for a compromise which still allowed him to play in a rotational and fast manner (despite the slightly larger new plastic balls). The Ovtcharov True Carbon is a blade which is the perfect basis for this purpose! This blade fulfills the high demands in terms of serves and returns, provides the necessary amount of sensitiveness when playing spinny topspins, and exhibits the necessary amount of power when playing hard shots.
All these positive features were achieved by two Carbon inlays. These are perfectly attuned to the noble wooden veneers which are also used for this TT blade. This combination resembles the overall high quality of the Donic Ovtcharov True Carbon. The hard outer veneers make finishers one big strength of this blade.
