In case you have reached a certain level of knowledge in terms of table tennis blades, you will recognize that the structure of the
Tibhar Fortino Performance is relatively special. This is because the Performance is made of 9 layers, which is quite unusual. In addition, the materials used for the Fortino Performance were thoroughly selected, and are also quite special. The core of this blade is made of light
Balsa wood. Hence, the weight of this TT blade is not too heavy (approx. 85 g).
Balsa is a tree which is native to neo-tropical regions (South America, Central America, and the West Indies). It reaches a height of approx. 50 m, whereas its trunk has a diameter of up to 2 m. Balsa is very light (density 130 kg/m
3), not very strong (Young´s modulus: 2,600 N/mm
2), and soft (Janka hardness: 88). You can see that this wood is perfect to reduce weight. Furthermore, the softness of the wood causes very pleasant overall gaming properties: e.g.
good control, much safety, and much feedback. Balsa is also known to exhibit
catapult-like effects.
When combined with slightly heavier rubbers, the
Tibhar Fortino Performance exhibits an optimal handling. Relatively close to the core ply, the layers of the high-end fabric are integrated, which are made of
Carbon and so called Dyneema®. These synthetic fiber reinforcements lead to an enlarged sweet spot (the sweet spot is the area where the ball should hit the paddle because of the optimal gaming properties). This also has positive effects when playing offensive strokes: The balls exhibit an improved control. In addition, the innovative fabric mentioned above clearly increases the stability of the whole blade, reducing annoying vibrations.
The
remaining veneers are perfectly matched and tuned to each other. As a consequence, the Fortino Performance provides as much control as possible no matter what situation you are in. For this reason, not only passive strokes (such as blocks or returns), but also rotational attacks go off the hand precisely, and with much control. The good ball feedback of this ping pong blade will also help you to significantly minimize the amount of easy (avoidable) errors.
Despite the large ball safety the Tibhar Fortino Performance mediates, the 9 layers provide sufficient power to allow a great and efficient acceleration of your offensive strokes. Hence, the
Tibhar Fortino Performance is the ideal option for all attackers who rely on a high amount of ball safety, and who act flexibly (gaming style: Off-).
Please see below a brief overview of all
ping pong blades within the Fortino series:
- Tibhar Fortino Performance: This blade is designed for a variable and offensive gaming style. The balanced behavior allows sensitive strokes with a good feedback and control, but also offensive strokes with good power.
- Tibhar Fortino Force: This ping pong blade is faster, harder and more direct than the Performance. Suitable for offensive strokes, but still fair control.
- Tibhar Fortino Pro: The fastest, most powerful, and most direct blade within the Fortino series. For uncompromising, aggressive and explosive attackers!
