Regarding the Stiga Ebenholz NCT V, many players appreciate both, its good control characteristics, and the simultaneously high speed. The Ebenholz blades (including the VII) were developed in cooperation with the Chinese National Team, resulting in a mix of knowledge stemming from top athletes, and material experts. The result is an extremely balanced table tennis blade, which not only convinces with its looks. All veneers, 5 to be exact, were hand-picked by wood experts from Stiga. The extremely rare outer plies / outer veneers are made of Rosenholz (Rosewood), and were additionally treated with the Nano Composit Technology (NCT).
The NCT approach is a so called nano-treatment which particularly focuses on the outer ply. In the Ebenholz NCT V, the result is a further hardening of the finishing veneers whilst still exhibiting much control caused by this innovative technique (considering its high hardness).
The Stiga Ebenholz NCT V is a speed-elastic blade. This means that this TT blade is elastic at ball contact even at high ball speeds. This elasticity is clearly perceivable as a positive ball control. Within the Ebenholz series, the NCT V version is intended for variable topspin players who want to finish their spinny attacks using so called speed-attacks (very fast finishers). The Stiga Ebenholz NCT V was introduced to the market shortly after the prohibition of speed-gluing. In the meantime, it is well established, and is used by many professional players, but also by many (hobby) players of higher leagues.
Next to the V versions, the Ebenholz NCT VII is also available. This TT blade is faster, and is - hence - recommended for the uncompromisingly offensive gaming style.
