Since Joola was founded in 1954, it has been impossible to imagine the table tennis market without this company! This is especially true for table tennis rubbers. Especially with the Joola Dynaryz rubbers, dynamics, spin and speed are the focus of this premium rubber series. Here, terms such as the Hyper Bounce Sponge or the Advanced Traction Surface, should be mentioned, which we will of course introduce to you. As already mentioned, the following 2 properties are particularly important, which is also true for the Joola Dynaryz ZGX: dynamics and spin. Two components of this hybrid rubber are primarily responsible for this: the sponge and the top rubber. Find out more now.
The sponge of this rubber is quite hard at around 52.5° (but sometimes feels a little softer). This means that the ball penetrates the rubber relatively little when it hits it, resulting in a relatively short ball contact time and therefore less control and feedback. This in turn means that you need a good technique to be able to utilise the full potential of this rubber. The more offensive a rubber is, the more difficult it is to control.
Another feature of the sponge is the "Hyper Bounce Sponge" technology. In addition to the already high level of hardness, the sponge is subjected to a kind of pre-tension. As a result, the ball is increasingly "catapulted" away from the sponge, which increases its dynamics. Despite the relatively high hardness, there is a noticeable catapult effect. This makes it possible to play this rubber fast and aggressively (playing suitability: offensive).
The topsheet of this model features the so-called Hyper Traction technology. This ensures that the surface is grippy and can therefore set the balls in rotation more easily and better. Improvements have also been made to the pimple structure, which supports the dynamic, spin-heavy behaviour of the rubber and ensures a high ball flight curve. This makes it easier to hit topspins even in difficult situations.
The Dynaryz ZGX is a dynamic and powerful rubber with an enormous spin potential, especially at the table and from half distance. Its general suitability can therefore be categorised as offensive (OFF). In general, the ZGX is quite similar to the Tibhar Hybrid K3.
The (high) flight curve is definitely an extremely positive feature here, which ultimately also increases the hitting rate. Balls can be hit both earlier and later. A very high speed can also be achieved here. The hard sponge also makes it suitable for shots. As already mentioned, a very high spin potential is available thanks to the grippy surface. This also supports the service game enormously, but practice is required for returns - as is generally the case with such high-performance rubbers. The (passive) blocking game can be rated as positive, in some cases even better than using the CMD.
