Xiom Vega China - A rubber which best unites Chinese and European characteristics
Xiom wanted to develop a table tennis rubber that combines the best playing properties of European and Chinese rubbers. The result was the Xiom Vega China. This rubber consists of a dynamic and elastic sponge with Tensor-Bios technology. The upper rubber has Chinese influences, as it is not only hard and very grippy, but is also, as usual with China coverings, slightly sticky. This combination means that the Vega China does not play like a conventional China rubber. The hard surface allows for solid block, counter and shotballs, but the elastic sponge pad ensures sufficient acceleration, so that both rotational topspins as well as cutting-rich hit/back variants are possible.
Whether in short-short, in flips above the table or in aggressive undercut setbacks, the opponent is faced with great challenges by a lot of spin.
In addition, the hard surface of the rubber, especially in attacking strikes, ensures a shallow bounce of the ball, giving the opponent less time to react. Like any hard rubber, the Vega China is not really forgiving, and is recommended to players who train regularly and thus have a consistently good ball hit point.
This makes the Xiom Vega China a good option for uncompromising, close-to-the-table attacking players who lacked the dynamics of previous China linings or for all players who are looking for a real alternative to the classic Chinese linings from the fresh gluing era.
