Xiom 36.5 - Something very special!
In order to attract some attention on the blade market, you really need something special. The Xiom 36.5 meets this criterion. This table tennis blade is different from many other blades and we want to show you why.
For one thing, Xiom trusts on the cold press technology. This means that the veneers are dried at low temperatures. This is gentler in terms of the materials and increases the stiffness of the veneers. Another positive effect is that the blade "forgives" more errors during your game. This is, fortunately, not at the expense of the speed of this blade, which is high.
The cold-pressed outer plies cause a hard, but still sensitive touch of the ball. This is important to keep good control. The outer plies of the 36.5 from Xiom are made of Koto. Koto grows in West Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon, and is a tree approx. 30 m tall, with a trunk diameter of about 1 m. Koto is medium heavy (590 kg/m3), but quite hard (Janka hardness: 950), and quite strong (Young´s modulus: 9,000 N/mm2). Koto plies are so called classical plies which are also well-known for their fast and spinny gaming behavior!
Xiom 36.5 - Final words
Another aspect in terms of the Xiom 36.5 is the innovative and new Arylate-fiber called Axylium-Carbon. As you might already know, such synthetic fibers exhibit a low weight and are very strong! Hence, these fibers increase both the stiffness and penetration power of this blade. At the same time, they reduce unpleasant vibrations. The combination of this new synthetic fiber with the Koto outer plies and the cold press technology allows a very powerful and fast offensive game close to the table (style: OFF)!
