The German brand Pimplepark has launched its first short pimple rubber, Bumper, which has been specially designed for
amateur and club players outside the professional arena. Under the motto "From players for players", this rubber aims to fulfil the specific needs of this target group. The Bumper is characterised by its versatility and combines features of a pimple-in rubber with those of a classic short pimple, which makes it particularly
effective in certain situations.
The rubber name "Bumper" emphasises the rubber's strengths in passive
blocking and counter-attacking. It is equipped with a
medium-hard sponge and has slightly conical, ribbed and grippy pimples. It is available in thicknesses of 1.4mm, 1.7mm, 1.9mm and max, whereby the thinner versions are particularly suitable for
control-conscious players. These enable precise blocking and effective undercut balls. The thicker sponge versions, on the other hand, are ideal for dynamic, offensive players who challenge their opponents with speed and spin.
The bumper is therefore ideal for players who want to overcome their opponents with a variable and dynamic style of play by constantly varying their speed, direction and rhythm. The rubber offers suitable options for both
defensive and offensive styles of play.
