Joola CWX - this is the latest pimple development from Joola (as of 2017). This rubber was developed in collaboration with the Austrian defensive player Chen Weixing. The goal was to create a rubber tailored to the modern defensive game.
The result is the Joola CWX, which consists of a 50° hard, pink sponge, and grippy long pimples.
The built-in Tensor technology of the sponge allows for both dynamic defensive strokes from a distance and controlled disruptive strokes at the table. Due to the grippy structure of the pimple heads and flexible, narrow pimple necks, a lot of spin is generated in defensive strokes despite good control.
Thus, the Joola CWX meets the requirements of modern defensive players who want to operate both close to the table and from a distance in a controlled yet effective manner. The rubber will be available with either a 0.5mm or 0.9mm thick sponge, and there will also be an OX variant without a sponge. Therefore, every defensive material player should find the variant of the Joola CWX that suits their playing system.
So, if you are looking for a new defensive rubber for the modern defensive game from all positions, you should definitely test the Joola CWX. A rubber developed together with a defensive specialist will certainly pose one or two challenges to your opponents, or even drive them to despair.
