Gewo Proton Neo 475 - The most offensive rubber within this series
What do we need in addition to the other three versions (325, 375, 450) within this series? Right! A real badass, a rubber that is a brutal weapon. This goal was achieved by developing the
Gewo Proton Neo 475! The 475 version successfully unites the positive properties of the other Neo versions with a hard and highly dynamical fine tuning. To enable a direct and very fast gaming behavior, combined with a perfect energy transfer, not only the sponge but also the topsheet were thoroughly re-worked.
The new
sponge offers an
enormous amount of power, whereas its energy transfer at ball impact is very effective. Hence, you can always exert much pressure toward your opponent, no matter what the situation. The
topsheet is equipped with the
DGC40+ technology. DGC stands for Dynamic Grip Concept, and describes that the surface structure is uniform and constant regarding its characteristics. This guarantees that due to the increased amount of static friction, the
grip generates a great spin transfer toward the ball. This becomes particularly apparent considering the new 40+ table tennis balls.
Taking this now together, one can clearly see that the Proton Neo 475 from Gewo offers the
ideal prerequisites for the dynamical and brutal offensive. However, during the development of this power rubber, there was also much emphasis on control, despite of the sponge hardness. The developers still wanted to
maintain control during serves, returns, or the general passive game. This was achieved, and the stable gaming behavior of this rubber allows the high amount of speed and spin to be applied in a precise and adequate way.
