A softer sponge ensures that the new Dr. Neubauer Killer Soft is an easier-to-play soft version of the popular short pips-out rubber. The sponge gives the pips a softer and thus more sensitive touch as well as a longer ball contact time. This increases control, ball feel, and precision in all strokes and in almost every playing situation. Even though the rubber plays softer than the regular Killer, the soft version still has remarkable speed reserves that can be tapped into during active strokes. This makes it easy to impose your own powerful game on the opponent in close proximity to the table. Additionally, the disruptive effect of the rubber makes life difficult for your opponent. Especially with counter/block balls and smashes, a very flat and thus unpleasant ball trajectory is generated, which will result in many direct points. When choosing the sponge thickness, you should note that the thinnest option generates the strongest disruptive effect, while the thickest option offers the highest basic speed.
