With the Andro Rasanter R50, Andro has introduced a rubber which combines two great features: A very high overall speed and a good spin potential. What are the reasons for this? Well, for one thing it is the green colored and quite hard (50°) sponge. This power-sponge causes sufficient acceleration and, hence, speed. For another thing it is the compact rotation topsheet (also called R-topsheet and responsible for the name of this rubber series: Andro Rasanter R). This topsheet is very catchy and tacky generating a considerable amount of spin when properly hitting the ball.

The above-mentioned topsheet exhibits a thickness of only 1.7mm. For this reason, there is more space for the sponge. This is why the so called ultra-max sponge (thickness: 2.3 mm) is integrated in the Andro Rasanter R50. By doing so, you can successfully counteract the detrimental properties of the new plastic ping pong balls (a.k.a. 40+ balls). As you probably know, these include a slightly lower overall speed and a bit less rotation compared to the "old" celluloid balls. The Andro Rasanter R50 achieves this!
