Similarly to the rubbers, Tibhar blades were equipped with a system ranging from the number 0 to number 10.
Currently, the value "10" represents the maximum. The faster the blade, the lower its control. This is very evident.
The speed specifications naturally vary (because of differences during manufacture, etc.), sometimes between 85-90, or 90-95. Fortunately, most
Tibhar table tennis blades exhibit a small variation only (see table below).
The green-colored fields represent Tibhar TT blades which can be ordered directly in our shop. Furthermore, these products already contain a product description. The other blades can also be delivered, for this, please send us a request by email.
We wish you lots of fun and success digging through our blades!

Tibhar blades - According to which criteria
The brand Tibhar is among the top 5 table tennis companies in Germany.
Tibhar blades are not as frequently used as Tibhar rubbers. This has two major reasons: First, they are something special, and second, they are not (yet) as popular and known as Tibhar rubbers. The latter issue, however, is continuously changing for the better!
Currently, there are approx. 40 different Tibhar blades available on the market. Their multifaceted nature begins with blades for beginners (about 12.90 Euro), and ends with high-end products with a price of about 200 Euro. Based on this, you can already see what Tibhar is trying to do. Tibhar wants to offer table tennis blades for a very wide and broad circle of customers, ranging from beginners, advanced players, or county and district league players, all the way to professional players. As a rough division, Tibhar uses the following specifications: Def, All, All+, Off-, Off, Off+, and Off/All. This corresponds to the mayor gaming styles, plus the classification Off/All.
Speed, control, and weight of Tibhar blades
It is obvious to most players that in terms of the components "speed" and "control", there is a certain production-related contradiction. This is also true for Tibhar TT blades, which contain speed and control values ranging from 1-10. The
fastest Tibhar blade (H-1-9) exhibits the smallest amount of control. Hence, this blade is suitable for players, who reliably master their techniques, and who exhibit a high training workload.
In contrast, the Defense Plus (speed characterization: 3) is highly suitable for defenders. This is because the soft plies, and the increased size of the racket´s head, result in very much control. The "Golden Mean" is present when using allround plus (All+), or offensive minus (Off-) blades from Tibhar. The most prominent example for this is the Samsonov Alpha, or the Tibhar Furious. Both TT blades rank 8 points in terms of speed AND control, making these blades very balanced ones. Of course, the is no such thing as a "perfect" table tennis blade (which is characterized by an extremely high control at maximum speed). However, there is of course a table tennis blade out there, which suits your needs and playing style very well!
The average weight of
Tibhar blades is 85 g. With the exception of the IV-Balsa, Tibhar never developed really heavy blades. The maximum weight is approx. 90 g. In case you are searching for a heavier table tennis blade, we recommend you the Samsonov Carbon, which exhibits a weight of about 90-95 g (manufacturer specification).
Tibhar blades - Technology and types of handles
In a really classical manner, Tibhar provides blades with anatomical, flared, or straight handles. Please note that flared handles are the most common and popular ones among all types.
Each Tibhar blade is also equipped with many different veneers and processing techniques. Below you can find an overview of some innovative technologies:
Sponge Grip System (SGS):
The so called Sponge Grip System (SGS) from the house of Tibhar is promoted as a new system of comfort handles. When the ball hits the racket, the impulses are directly and optimally transmitted toward your hand. Due to highly sensitive mechano-receptors located in e.g. your skin, these impulses are further transmitted toward your central nervous system. By this, such Tibhar blades exhibit an improved and more sensitive feeling for the ball. The middle aspect of such blades (which are equipped with the SGS), is made of foam material, and causes a comfortable handling. Also, Tibhar blades consider an optimal hold of the blade in the hand.
Carbon Technology: The carbon fibers used are woven in a special arrangement so that they not only exhibit a certain degree of hardness, but also elasticity. This results in the advantage that one can transfer much energy toward the ball, even during strokes with only little physical effort.
Contact Light System: Tibhar blades equipped with the Contact Light System exhibit a lighter handle which also offers more control. This was achieved by an ultra-light balsa core located within the handle. The balsa core also causes a perfect transmission of mechanical stimuli (e.g. vibrations) toward the hand. As a consequence, Tibhar blades present a shift of the weight within the overall bat (they are a bit top-heavy). This optimizes the ratio between speed and control.
SAM - Sensory Amplifier: The so called Sensory Amplifier Technology allows the table tennis player to easier perceive HOW and WHERE the ball is hitting the racket. Of course, this causes very positive effects on improving your stroke movement, and on optimizing your stroke intensity.
Small Hands: The name says it all. Tibhar offers blades which are designed for small children´s hands. The small hands blades are equipped with a shorter handle. Furthermore, such Tibhar blades are deliberately made of light materials so that only little physical effort is necessary in order to move and control the bat.
What is important when using Tibhar blades?
Tibhar table tennis blades are usually of very high quality, which not only includes materials, but also the workmanship. Furthermore, Tibhar blades exhibit a good price-performance ratio. In case you select a balsa blade, please avoid hitting edges (hard items in general) with your racket. This is because balsa is a very soft wood, and could be damaged.
Among all
Tibhar blades, there are certain best-sellers. To be a bestseller, the product must really work! Not only sales figures are an important ingredient, but also long-term satisfied customers, and positive reviews. Tibhar best-seller blades are, for example, the Samsonov and the Stratus series. You really can't do anything wrong with these blades. Qualitatively, the CCA series is really good, but only recommended for players with a regular and high training workload.
Summary of Tibhar table tennis blades
No matter what Tibhar TT blade you might choose, it might be helpful to check out our summary table mentioned above. This table provides a first overview of all T
ibhar blades which are currently available. Characteristics in terms of speed and control are presented. Personally, we always find the relationship between speed and control quite important. This is because you will only be able to win a table tennis match, if you can control your racket.
Have fun testing the blades!
