The Stiga DNA rubbers are made in Germany! The new series includes a total of 4 rubbers, each of which can be assigned to a specific player type. The positive aspect is that there is something suitable for almost every type. However, it must be clearly stated that the focus is more on offensive rubbers. The most important facts are:
Stiga DNA Rubber Series - Tensor Rubbers "made in Germany"
The
Stiga DNA series is the first to be
manufactured in Germany (ESN). It consists of 4 different TT rubbers: The Stiga DNA Future (or Stiga DNA Future M), the Stiga DNA Pro M, Stiga DNA Pro S, and the Stiga DNA Pro H. The letters at the end of the names stand for the sponge hardness: Medium, soft, and hard. As can already be seen from this, there are fine differences between the rubbers (which overall correspond to a more offensive behavior) in terms of their properties and behavior. Therefore, these table tennis rubbers are
suitable for beginners to professional players.
All DNA rubbers also have in common that they are equipped with the so-called ESC technology. ESC means "Enlarged Sponge Cells," and these larger pores (open-pored) result in various positive effects, such as a
pronounced catapult effect. For more information, please read our detailed product descriptions (the links are further down). The rubbers are also optimized for the requirements of the
new plastic balls (also known as Poly+ Ball or ABS Ball). They develop, for example,
a lot of spin. A special rubber mixture also ensures that the
top rubber is very durable.
The Stiga DNA Series - An Overview of the Individual Rubbers
The
Stiga DNA Pro series was developed in cooperation with members of the Chinese and Swedish national table tennis teams and predominantly corresponds to an offensive playing orientation. The individual rubbers are as follows:
- Stiga DNA Pro H: The hardest rubber within this series, corresponding to brutal offense. Therefore, this TT rubber also has quite low control and is only recommended for skilled and experienced players. Playing style: OFF+!
- Stiga DNA Pro M: In terms of sponge hardness, this rubber represents the middle. Great power, speed, and dynamics, but still quite good control. Style: The modern offense (OFF).
- Stiga DNA Pro S: The softest table tennis rubber within this series. Therefore, good control, feel, and feedback. Still quite fast, dynamic, and powerful. Suitable for variable and controlled offense (OFF-).
- The Stiga DNA Future (M), also manufactured in Germany, was developed in cooperation with Chinese table tennis academies. This TT rubber has significantly more control than the Stiga DNA Pro rubbers. Therefore, it is also ideal for beginners. The corresponding playing style is thus ALL or ALL+, although it can also be further offensively designed. This then largely depends on the blade used.
