Joola - A high-quality company with a long-lasting tradition, even in 2020!
Many of you are probably already waiting what the year 2020 might bring in terms of new table tennis equipment. The manufacturers and brands, however, are preparing their products a long time prior to the turn of the year. They develop new technologies, procedures, and products with the aim to offer you more fun, entertainment, and success when playing ping pong.And this is also true for Joola! Joola is a German company with much tradition, founded by Karl Frey. Yet in 1954, there was a separate department within Jooss (the name of the company back in those days), which dealt with the manufacturing of table tennis tables. The name Joola was created based on the then popular conjunction between the name and location of a company: Jooss and Landau. After the head of this company moved to Godramstein, there was another move to Siebeldingen (in 1873, mainly due to its huge growth), where we can still find this company. In 2019, it was the American company Sport Squad, Inc. who has taken over Joola. Both companies worked closely together already in the past, which is one major reason for the success of this German company.

In 2020, Joola started right away with a new rubber series called Dynaryz. These rubbers are clearly located in the upper-class league considering Joola rubbers. One basis of this series are the consequences induced by the use of the new plastic ping pong balls. As you probably know, these balls are a bit larger and, hence, also a bit slower than the old celluloid balls. Additionally, due to different static friction properties, they exhibit a bit less spin. To counteract this, spin and speed are really paramount.Of course, this is also true for the Dynaryz rubbers from Joola. For example, they offer an integrated speed gluing effect. Furthermore, to guarantee immense power, there are new materials and technologies, such as the new, purple-colored Hyper Bounce Sponge and the Advance Traction Surface Technology.
